Annual Research Review: Digital health interventions for children and young people with mental health problems – a systematic and meta-review
Hollis C, Falconer CJ, Martin J, et.al. JCPP April 2017; 4: 474-503 DOI: 10.1111/jcpp.12663
This systematic review of digital health interventions (DHIs) for children and adolescents identified 21 review articles and 30 new studies of interventions for attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders and PTSD. Despite showing some promise for treating a number of these conditions, methodological issues limited the ability of the authors to draw any definitive conclusions. Further research into these innovative health solutions using more consistent reporting formats are required over the coming decade.
