Smartphone apps for eating disorders: A systematic review of evidence-based content and application of user-adjusted analyses
This review of 28 apps for eating disorders found that they commonly focussed on cognitive restructuring, activity scheduling and self-monitoring over problem-solving, exposure and relapse prevention. Although these apps might have a role in the treatment of eating disorders, they may not fully replace the need for face-to-face therapy at this stage.
