This one day training session will help equip clinicians to increase their confidence in working with children with medically unexplained symptoms.
Topics include:
- clinical spectrum of medically unexplained symptoms and evidence-base for intervention
- service design and care-pathways
- functional neurological symptoms including non-epileptic seizures
- working across disciplines and with schools
- case examples and treatment challenges
We are delighted that Dr Suzanne O’Sullivan the author of the winner of the 2016 Wellcome Book Prize for her book It’s All in Your Head: True Stories of Imaginary Illness is delivering the opening plenary.
Who should attend?
Clinicians from a range of disciplines (including child and adolescent mental health and paediatrics) are invited to this one day conference and workshops.
