As the link between perinatal depression and later childhood conduct problems becomes clearer, this study demonstrates the value of two screening questions that can be used during pregnancy to identify (and hopefully address) emerging depression. These (Whooley) questions are akin to those identified by Bruce Arroll in general practice and may also be useful screening tool within obstetric and neonatal settings.
