Nonpharmacologic Treatments for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: A Systematic Review

Despite widespread popularity of non-pharmacologic treatments for ADHD such as neurofeedback, cognitive training, cognitive behavioural therapy, child or parent training, dietary omega fatty acid supplementation, and herbal and/or dietary approaches, there is limited evidence of their effectiveness. This systematic review summarises what is known about research into these interventions and highlights how practice is often out of sync with evidence.
