Following on from the description of assessment processes, this article describes the use of diagnostic formulations with 60 families and how they were helpful for families to accept the diagnosis of PNES and lead to functional normalization in 75% of cases. Unsurprisingly, outcomes were less favourable in those with chronic PNES and co-morbid mental health conditions.
