This review used state of the art methods to examine the effectiveness of school-based interventions to prevent anxiety and depression. Disappointingly, despite worldwide interest in the promise of school-based mental health, the authors found there was little evidence that educational setting-based interventions focused solely on the prevention of depression or anxiety are effective.
