This review of 79 studies demonstrates that
curriculum-based interventions delivered to children aged 2-6 years can lead to
improved social and emotional competence, behavioural self-regulation and early
learning outcomes. This may be a great way
to improve childhood and adult resilience and reduce the onset of later mental
health issues.

This study of over 200 twin pairs, in line with the findings of
Henry et al., shows that parenting harshness is related to childhood callous
unemotional traits and aggression over and above genetically-mediated effects.
Effects were not mediated by child age, sex or family income.
